Using the Office suite of tools in BGfL 365 – Making the most of Microsoft Cloud in your school.
This half day BGfL 365 course can help you work more flexibly, by accessing your school resources online and having the ability to collaborate securely in real time on documents with school staff.
The session offers a ‘hands on’ experience which will enable you to explore the ‘Microsoft Office Suite’ of tools within the BGfL 365 environment.
What is BGfL 365?

Through collaboration with award-winning partners, BGfL 365 provides a portal for both teachers and learners to create, curate and collaborate by sharing resources with colleagues and pupils, enabling your school to meet and exceed many aspects of the national curriculum through personalised teaching and learning. BGfL 365 is much more than a replacement for your email system and represents a managed service that significantly enhances the Office 365 experience.
This course will help you understand the benefits of accessing school documents online securely, using online calendars, announcements and the ability to collaborate on Office documents in real time with your colleagues.
- The areas that will be covered in this session include:
- SharePoint – used effectively to access school documents online
- Microsoft Office 365 Online Suite – including OneNote, Forms (making online surveys) and online collaboration
- OneDrive – guide to your personal storage area, sharing documents and collaborating
- Workflow - to and from a range of devices
The course is aimed at senior leaders, office staff and teaching staff.
Basic computer skills are expected. Please bring your BGfL 365 login details (if you have them), if not you will be able to use our test environment on the day.
