Kingsland Primary School gets a brand new website 

Kingsland Primary School is a thriving half form entry school in the Kingstanding area of Birmingham. The school has 270 children in classes from Nursery to Year Six. The school aims to create a welcoming, happy, healthy and stimulating atmosphere in which children can develop and sustain caring relationships alongside high standards of behaviour and achievement. Through encouragement, a wide range of learning opportunities and an enthusiastic staff, the school works in partnership with parents to ensure their pupils fulfil their potential.

The challenge 

Kingsland Primary previously had a basic website and wanted to improve its online presence to cater more for the core audience of parents. They wanted to achieve this by publishing content that promoted the school profile and made available the school’s policies and procedures. The school also felt it was important to use the site to celebrate their pupil’s work and was conscious of meeting the Department for Education school website guidelines.

The solution 

The Link2ICT website solutions service helps schools to create attractive and user-friendly websites. Link2ICT works closely with schools to meet individual needs and offer a range of choices to achieve the best possible solution. 

Consultation 

During the consultation process, Link2ICT worked with Kingsland to define the specification for the new website. The Link2ICT Web Design team carefully translated those instructions to deliver a high quality look and feel for the website. The brief also required a solution that was easily maintained and managed by the school.

Along with some minimal email support answering specific questions, the school received appropriate guidance documentation which enabled them to understand the content management system. They were then confident to manage and update the website after it went live, in their own words it was “very easy to use afterwards”.
