With the Summer holidays almost upon us, and the anticipation of a well-earned break to decompress and regenerate – well, if it’s good enough for Doctor Who! - we thought we would offer a "lighter" edition of the newsletter this month.
Before you head off to the coast, further afield abroad, or those of you who prefer the staycation, we’d like to offer a few reminders...

BGfL 365 presents....The j2blast Maths Summer Challenge
Maths skills can decline more during the summer holidays than any other subject, Harvard Graduate School of Education research suggests. With students losing up to three months of learning during the summer break, that’s almost a whole year of learning lost during their primary years.
To prevent the summer slide, Just2easy have launched their first Summer Challenge and have some great prizes and activities for a really fun summer of learning.
BGfL 365 and the j2blast Maths Summer Challenge can:
- Reduce the summer slide in maths
- Get students learning in a safe online environment
- Develop every student’s love of maths and ICT!
Join the j2blast Maths Summer Challenge, 21 July – 8 September 2017 - a fun way of learning and practicing maths skills over the summer with BGfL 365.
For more information and to take part, visit www.just2easy.com/summer-maths-challenge.
And if you are not a BGfL 365 or just2easy user, don't worry, you can have FREE access too during the summer holidays, just fill in this form and use the code: SUMMER17.
Happy maths blasting!

Whether you are upgrading existing equipment or looking for some shiny, new kit, our Account Managers are available to assist and advise. With budgets being squeezed even more, we understand how important it is for schools to make wise investments to future-proof your technology. So if you’re looking for staff laptops, a new server to be installed during the summer break, upgrading your network connectivity to meet the increasing demands of online teaching, or a suite of iPad devices, then your Account Manager is your go-to contact.
But future-proofing is not just about tech, investing in your staff is a crucial factor and so Link2ICT can help to ensure teachers and support staff:
- are enabled to meet the requirements of the computing curriculum
- are fully informed of their safeguarding and data protection responsibilities
- can get the most out of your Management Information System (SIMS)
- become effective users of Microsoft software
- have full support with our bespoke consultancy packages
We can do all of this via our experienced team of consultants who can help your whole school move forward. Our comprehensive portfolio of training courses and bespoke consultancy can be found at www.link2ict.org/training. And don’t forget, there’s our new Training Guide offering our range of courses into the autumn term.
We all appreciate the importance of Keeping Children Safe in Education, and Link2ICT can support your school to ensure safeguarding is carried out efficiently.
Our comprehensive Safeguarding Suite offers peace of mind with monitoring software, recording concerns, and of course, shortlisted for the BETT Awards, our innovative Monitoring Service.
And to ensure those solutions are embedded effectively, we ensure schools are kept up-to-date with the latest government guidance through our portfolio of online safety training and consultancies.
Customer Satisfaction Survey
Finally, as the end of a school year is a time to reflect and evaluate, if you can spare five minutes, then we would appreciate you letting us know what you think in our annual Customer Satisfaction survey – your feedback helps shape our services to meet your needs.
